Having visited and loved Tuscany and Umbria over the last five years, we were ready to find a base from which to further explore the area on our annual visit in April .We first came across Borgo di Vagli in the Italy magazine and on paper it looked like the ideal location, but would it be as good in reality? We were not disappointed. From the moment we left the main road and drove past Castle Pierle up the track to the Borgo, we were stunned by the beauty of the surrounding countryside. On arrival we were met by the friendly staff and shown to our residence. What a week it was, with us seeing the wonderful restoration work carried out by Fulvio and having the opportunity to view and review all of the residences that were available. Needless to say the choice was overwhelming, but it wasn’t a difficult decision to buy.The time we spent at the Borgo was without doubt the most relaxing and unhurried anyone could wish for, all thanks to the wonderful location, management and staff. It is not a place for those who like entertainment but is perfect for lovers of peace and quiet, enjoying the real Italy. We loved the local shopping, cooking in our authentically restored kitchen and sampling the local wines. It gave us time to catch our breath, make new friends and was a true escape from everyday life. GrazieHaving committed to Borgo Di Vagli we can’t wait to return.
